Wrongful Death Cases
Losing a loved one causes great suffering. However, that loss can also come with a financial cost. Surviving family members may have lost more than a beloved parent or spouse; they may have lost a means of financial support. Loss of emotional support and financial costs from your loved one's wrongful death may be recoverable.
A wrongful death case may result from many different things, including:
Abuse or neglect
Airplane or train disasters
Assault or other intentional/criminal acts
Automobile collision
Medical malpractice
While no amount of money can make up for the loss of a loved one, many survivors feel that it does provide closure and justice for the wrongful acts.
In Arizona, only certain people have the right to sue for wrongful death. In order to sue you must be a surviving spouse, child, parent, guardian, or personal representative of the decedent (person who died). A.R.S. 12-612.
